The absence of proper medical facilities often forces people from different
parts of the country to travel long distances and spend huge amounts of money
to be able to consult the specialists in larger cities for their loved
ones. However, the adverse impact of this scenario is often overlooked. The
undue emotional stress, along with the cost of travel, adds to the patients’
and their families’ misery, leading to deteriorating condition of the afflicted
person.
Bridging the demand and supply gap that exists in the current situation, Niira Radia’s
Nayati Healthcare is making advanced healthcare accessible to the
hinterlands of the country. The initiative, started in 2012, aims at reversing
the existing scenario, by bringing healthcare facilities to the patients,
instead of patients having to travel miles to access medical care.
Nayati’s mission is to take super specialty world-class healthcare closer to the masses by creating strategic hubs for treatment and facilities across the region, thereby contributing meaningfully to the transformation of the healthcare scenario of the country. All our locations have been chosen carefully considering the gap and the coverage area, says Niira Radia.
The idea for Nayati was conceived by Niira Radia chairperson at Nayati Healthcare during her visit to Badrinath Dham, where she witnessed a large number of pilgrims suffering due to the lack of proper medical facilities. To address this issue, Radia started her venture in the form of mobile medical units, and provided the much-needed medical attention to the pilgrims in Badrinath.
